Fall 1st Year

THTR 13800 - Acting I  Cr. 3.

THTR 15800 - Stagecraft  Cr. 3.

THTR 20201 - Introduction To Theatre  Cr. 3.

MUSC 10900 - Rudiments Of Music I  Cr. 2-4.

Students may test out of Rudiments via Music Theory placement test. If placed directly into Music Theory I (which will not be taken until fall of sophomore year typically), students will complete three credits of  either a general education course, a theatre technology course or a dance technique course in place of Rudiments.If opting to take any approved dance technique course, depending on the student’s preparation, this may be a level I course to serve as a pre-requisite for the required level II courses or the student may place directly into level II upon instructor’s approval.

THTR 26200 - Lighting Technology I  Cr. 3. OR   

Gen Ed course (B category suggested)

NB-Students are required to take one techniques course, either THTR 26200 Lighting Technology I, offered every fall, or THTR 35100 - Costume Techniques I , offered every spring. It is expected that B.F.A. Musical Theatre students will finish this requirement by the end of spring term, sophomore year.
