ILCS 26100 - Introduction To The Linguistic Study Of Foreign Languages

3 cr. Overview of linguistics and the role of language and society; fundamental concepts of linguistic analysis. The course focuses on linguistic phenomena found in French, German, Russian, and Spanish, with material, examples, and assignments drawn primarily from those languages whenever appropriate.
