Programs (New for Fall 2020):
M.S. Speech-Language Pathology Program
- As of July 2020, the M.S. program in speech-language pathology at Purdue University Fort Wayne is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700. Candidacy is a “pre-accreditation” status with the CAA, awarded to developing or emerging programs for a maximum period of 5 years.
Certificate in Music Performance (undergraduate)
New Major Options for Double Degrees in Secondary Education with Economics, Psychology, or Sociology:
- Economics, Psychology, and Sociology have been added to the list of primary majors available to students pursuing a Secondary Education double degree. Economics, Psychology, and Sociology majors will follow the guidelines outlined in the School of Education section of the catalog.
- The 3.0 major GPA for Economics, Psychology, and Sociology will be calculated using only ECON, PSY, or SOC courses from each major.

- Secondary Education and Psychology (BA), 4-Yr Plan
- Secondary Education and Psychology (BS), 4-Yr Plan
- Secondary Education and Sociology, 4-Yr Plan
New Minor options for Double Degree Majors in Secondary Education with History, Economics, Psychology, or Sociology:
- Students pursuing a double degree (BSED and BA) in Secondary Education with History, Economics, Psychology, or Sociology may now choose their minor n any of the following programs, provided the minor is different than the major: Biology, Chemistry, Economics, English, Exceptional Needs-Mild Intervention, French, German, History, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, or Spanish.
Revision to Human Services Minor:
- Students pursuing a minor in Human Services will still complete 15 credits. However, now each student will select a specialized track that meets their educational and professional goals. See the Human Service minor page for more information.

Revision to Information Technology Minor:
- Students pursuing a minor in Information Technology will continue to complete 18 credits. However, two courses have been changes to remain responsive to industry’s needs.

Articulation Agreements:
Art and Design
A new articulation agreement between Ivy Tech Community College (ITCC, statewide) and PFW goes into effect on January 1, 2021. This agreement is between the ITCC Associate of Science in Visual Communication and the PFW Bachelor of Arts in Art and Design. Money and Banking
A new TSAP pathway goes into effect on January 1, 2021. This pathway allows a student with an Associate of Science in Business Adminstration to complete the Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in Money and Banking. See the TSAP page for program and curriculum requirements.

Biology Teaching
A new, and special, TSAP pathway goes into effect on January 1, 2021. This pathway allows a student with an Associate of Science in Secondary Education - Biology to complete dual degrees in Biology and Secondary Education.
