PSY 14000 - Critical Foundations for Psychology A comprehensive introduction to psychology as a science and as a profession; methods of inquiry used in the science of psychology, critical thinking, information literacy, and basic written communication as applied to the discipline; survey of career opportunities in psychology, focusing on developing short-term and long-term academic/professional goals and effective strategies for pursuing them.
Preparation for Course P: PSY 12000 with a grade of C- or higher. Restricted to psychology majors.
