SOC 33300 - Collective Behavior and Social Movements Considers various types of non-institutionalized collective behaviors (such as rumors, urban legends, panics, riots) in past and modern American history as well as theories and cases of the “why” and “how” of social movements, counter-movements, and revolutions.
Preparation for Course P: SOC 16101; either ENGL 23301 or SOC 26000 (or equivalent); or consent of instructor.
