PHYS 12900 - Physics of War This course examines the physics behind weapons developed throughout centuries of warfare. Weapons to be examined are the bow, the many variations of the catapult, the development of artillery from the muzzle loader to the rail-gun, rockets and missiles, directed energy weapons such as lasers, and nuclear bombs.
Preparation for Course P: MA 15300 (or equivalent), or consent of instructor.
