The purpose of the certificate is to prepare students for positions in the financial services industry and provide a working knowledge of the fundamentals of economics and finance.

 

You must meet the prerequisites for each course and earn a grade of C- or better in each course, while maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA in courses required for the Certificate.   You must complete at least 15 of the required 27 at Purdue Fort Wayne to be eligible to receive the certificate.

Total 27 credits (15 credits must be taken in the Doermer School of Business)

Eligibility


Any admitted student is eligible to work on this certificate.  You must meet the prerequisites for each course and earn a grade of C- or better in each course.  You must complete at least 15 of the required 27 credits in the Doermer School of Business to be eligible to receive the certificate.

 

Student Responsibility


You are responsible for ensuring that you satisfy all graduation requirements specified for each selected program.  Thus, it is essential that you develop a thorough understanding of the required courses, academic policies, and procedures governing your academic career.  If you cannot complete all program requirements by your stated graduation date but fail to remove those from your plan of study, the Registrar’s Office in consultation with your academic advisor will remove unmet pursuits from your plan of study. Changing curricular records during the graduation term of application may affect state or federal financial aid awards. All requests for exceptions to specific requirements must be made in writing and may be granted only by written approval from the appropriate chair or dean.
