PSY 44900 - Advanced Research In Judgment And Decision Making
This course is designed to introduce students to the topics, theories, research methods, and data analysis techniques common in the study of human judgment and decision-making.
Preparation for Course P. PSY 20300 with grade of C- or better, and senior class standing or 33 credits in psychology.
Cr. 3 Student Learning Outcomes 1. Understand the scientific study of human decision-making, especially the typical research methods and techniques commonly used in the discipline.
2. Understand major topics of study within Judgment and Decision Making.
3. Understand major theories within Judgment and Decision Making and how to generate testable hypotheses from these theories.
4. Demonstrate skills reading scientific research articles in the field of Judgment and Decision Making, synthesizing information from multiple articles, and communicating the results and significance of those articles effectively and accurately.
