WOST 31200 - Social Science Perspectives On Women’s, Gender, And Sexuality Studies
Advanced study of feminist scholarship on a specific topic related to women’s, gender, and sexuality studies from multidisciplinary social science perspectives. Specific topics announced in the Schedule of Classes.
Cr. 3. Variable Title (V.T.) Notes May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 9 credit hours. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Demonstrate knowledge of major concepts and theoretical perspectives related to gender from a multidisciplinary, social science perspective.
2. Identify the strengths and weaknesses of a range of explanations or interpretations of problems related to gender from a multidisciplinary, social science perspective.
3. Demonstrate an understanding of social science research methods and analyses and apply interdisciplinary/integrated approaches to research and problem-solving.
4. Evaluate evidence used to support conclusions about the role gender plays in the behavior of individuals, groups, institutions, or organizations.
5. Demonstrate effective reading, speaking, writing, and critical-thinking skills.
