IDIS 10605 - Introduction To The Liberal Arts



Exploration of a specific issue, problem, or topic (e.g., place, citizenship, identity, social change) integrating the perspectives of at least two different disciplines from the liberal arts. Variable topic course. Specific topics announced in the Schedule of Classes. Suitable for students from any major.

Student Learning Outcomes
1.  Recognize differences among disciplinary approaches and understand the value of multiple and differing perspectives.
2.  Assess divergent or contending perspectives on debates, issues, and/or problems, including identifying the strengths and weaknesses of those perspectives and the significance of their differences.
