CM 36600 - Materials Testing
Testing of construction materials to determine physical and mechanical properties. Preparation of reports from data secured from such tests.
Preparation for Course P: ET 20000 with grade of C- or better.
Cr. 3. Hours Class 2, Lab 3. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Identify various construction materials.
2. Apply mathematics, science engineering and technology to solve engineering technology problems derived from common construction materials.
3. Conduct tension, compression, shear, torsion, bending, hardness and impact experiments.
4. Analyze and interpret material testing data.
5. Communicate results by written, oral and graphical methods in both technical and non-technical environments.
6. Solve problems related to Materials Testing and to present results in clear, analytical, organized and accurate reports.
