MUSC 18241 - Introduction To Performance Techniques



An instructional music ensemble experience designed to allow students to perform together on their chosen primary, secondary, (or other) instruments in various popular music genres, with emphasis on providing musical support and leadership in a group setting.

Must be admitted into a program of the School of Music.
May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 8 credit hours.
Student Learning Outcomes
1. Participate in group performances of popular music in various styles and configurations.
2. Develop and refine their ability to musically listen, support, and interact with fellow performers.
3. Prepare for rehearsals and performances.
4. Perform simple improvisation based on major and minor scales and melodies.
