PHIL 11101 - Contemporary Moral Problems



Acquaint students with a selection of contemporary ethical problems that most people in the world have to face; use reason to analyze ethical dilemmas and common moral assumptions; challenge, enlighten, and foster the reflective moral mind.

Student Learning Outcomes
1.  Identify and discuss different ethical theories and examine problems in their light.
2.  Integrate philosophical perspectives on ethics into an examination of moral problems students themselves or other people may encounter.
3.  Have met selected General Education learning outcomes in the area “Humanistic Ways of Knowing.”
