MUSC 20800 - Electronic Music II

A continuation of the Electronic Music I course focusing on sequencing and integration of synthesis and sampling into music production environments.

Preparation for Course
P: MUSC 20700 (or equivalent) with grade of C- or better and admitted into a program of the School of Music.

1. Students will demonstrate factual knowledge (terminology) of music sampling.
2. Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental principles, techniques, and applications of music sampling.
3. Students will demonstrate a broad understanding and appreciation of careers in the music sampling industry.
4. Students will demonstrate the ability to analyze and recognize basics of music sampling through musical examples and hands-on demonstration.
5. Students will demonstrate the ability to explain the process of music sampling programming.
