AD 20301 - Web Design I: Introduction To Web Design
This course introduces the fundamentals of Web design, emphasizing best practices in HTML, CSS, basic interactivity, and visual design for the Web. Students will learn navigation structures, information architecture, usability, and accessibility. They will be enabled to plan, design, build, and publish a small static Web site.
Preparation for Course P: In a program of the Department of Art and Design or approved School of Music programs.
Cr. 3. Hours Studio. 6. Notes Minimum grade of C- required to count towards any program of the Department of Art and Design. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Create a body of work that demonstrates familiarity and proficiency in working with a variety of tools and programs that are fundamental to successful Web Design.
2. Demonstrate the acquisition of vocabulary and knowledge base through active participation in describing processes in idea development, processes, programs, as well as participation in critique and self-assessment.
