OLS 47700 - Conflict Management
A study of the methods for dealing with interpersonal, interpersonal, and political disputes by means generally outside the traditional court system. Students will investigate the theoretical and practical aspects of conflict assessment, negotiation, problem solving, mediation, and arbitration.
Preparation for Course P: OLS 37600 and junior or senior class standing.
Cr. 3. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Interpret and summarize major conflict management concepts.
2. Apply course conflict management concepts to new situations and real-world applications.
3. Assess conflict situations and apply appropriate methods to mitigate conflict.
4. Demonstrate ability to handle difficult people and situations.
