GER 42200 - Contemporary Germany: Special Topics In German Studies
Topics dealing with language, literature, and culture of any of the German-speaking countries, generally in the more recent historical periods.
Preparation for Course P: GER 20401 or equivalent or permission of the instructor.
Cr. 3. Notes May be repeated with different topics for a maximum of 12 credit hours. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Demonstrate understanding of major ideas and concepts in this field, including all the major subfields and their distinct characteristics or applications.
2. Demonstrate understanding of the key tasks, research practices and debates associated with the field.
3. Demonstrate the ability to utilize in the analysis of concrete examples the most common and significant analytical frameworks and research tools used by researchers in this field.
