FR 21301 - 2nd Year French Composition
This course integrates the four language skills into a structured approach to composition. Compositions will treat topics both creative and expository; emphasis will be on correct usage, vocabulary building, and stylistic control. Review of selected points of French grammar will be included; tests will cover both grammar and reading comprehension.
Preparation for Course P: FR 20401 or equivalent or permission of the instructor.
Cr. 3. Notes Students are encouraged to enroll in ILCS 30000, Methods Of Research And Criticism, (required for French majors) concurrently with enrollment in their first 30000-level French literature course. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Advance writing skills in French through the study of literary and cinematic texts.
2. Build analytical skills as readers of texts.
3. Develop improved oral proficiency in French.
4. Develop the ability to express ideas with clarity, imagination and organization.
5. Engage in writing as a process that requires proofreading of grammar, vocabulary, punctuation and other similar elements of error correction.
