ENGL 37101 - Senior English Capstone
Focuses on reflection and revision of past work, creation of a high-quality independent work, and careers and job preparation.
Preparation for Course P: ENGL 20201 or ENGL 23301 (or Equivalent).
Cr. 3. Notes Junior or Senior Class Standing Required. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Produce an original work involving the creation or application of knowledge, performance or service.
2. Report the results of original work through a discipline-appropriate product.
3. Demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and professional ethics by understanding the ethical responsibilities related to the profession associated with the subject of the capstone project.
4. Demonstrate critical-thinking abilities and familiarity with quantitative and/or qualitative reasoning.
5. Demonstrate breadth of knowledge across disciplines and depth of knowledge in their chosen discipline. In order to do so, students must demonstrate the requisite information- seeking skills and technological competencies.
6. Demonstrate the ability to integrate and apply that knowledge, and, in so doing, demonstrate the skills necessary for life-long learning.
7, Demonstrate the highest levels of personal integrity and professional ethics.
