EDU 37101 - Assessment & Evaluation Methods For Students With Mild/Moderate Disabilities
Emphasizes the use of formal and informal assessment, norm-referenced and curriculum-based measurement, error analyses, and observational ratings. Focus on how the variety of assessments describe different aspects of the student’s development.
Preparation for Course P: EDU 37001 with a grade of C- or better.

2. Describe, analyze, and demonstrate major diagnostic test strategies and interpret data.
3. Demonstrate an ability to use formal and informal assessment procedures and interpret results.
4. Demonstrate an ability to combine assessment data into a case study summary.
5. Demonstrate knowledge and sensitivity for special needs testing, including ability level, cultural, and SES issues.
6. Describe and discuss the legal and ethical considerations in assessment.
7. Demonstrate ability to select assessment methods and instruments to meet individual needs of students.
8. Read and interpret a psychological report typical used for determination of eligibility for student to receive special education services.
