ECET 36100 - Introduction To PLC & Pneumatic Systems

A study of the fundamentals of developing and implementing ladder logic diagrams for machine controls using industrial programmable logic controllers. The applications of hydraulic and pneumatic systems are also studied.

1. Analyze operational requirements for industrial control systems.
2. Design ladder diagrams to fulfill the operational requirements of industrial control systems.
3. Program a PLC to implement a ladder diagram, utilizing counters, timers, and data manipulation.
4. Test a PLC implementation of a control system to determine whether it meets operational requirements.
5. Troubleshoot a PLC implementation of a control system.
6. Work as a member of a lab team.
