CS 36500 - Advanced Database Systems



This course examines advanced concepts and modern architectures in database systems. Topics include advanced data modeling and extended SQL features; physical database organization and access methods; query processing and optimization; and transaction management. Additional topics include database security, data warehousing, and modern database technologies such as NoSQL and distributed database systems.

Preparation for Course
P: CS 36400 or IST 27000.
