CDFS 25500 - Introduction To Couple And Family Relationships
Provides further understanding of family relations for those unmarried, those contemplating marriage, or for those married, and for prospective marriage counselors. A functional approach to the interpersonal relationships of courtship, marriage, and family.
Cr. 3. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Relate substantive knowledge, disciplinary methods and important modes of human thought to course topics and material. (GE 5.3)
2. Illustrate how various aspects of families and couple relationships link to historical and contemporary views and social behavior. (GE 5.1)
3. Identify the strengths and weaknesses of historical and contemporary theories of families and couples relationships. (GE 5.2) NEW
4. Recognize the extent and impact of diversity in the families and relationships of various cultures, populations and groups. (GE 5.5)
5. Evaluate evidence provided throughout the course to draw reliable, logical conclusions. (GE 5.4)
