Student Learning Outcomes
1.  Discuss the basic history and key questions of psychological anthropology as a field of study.
2.  Describe the nature of culture as a phenomenon and some ways in which it influences human thought and behavior.
3.  Articulate how conceptions of self and personhood vary across culture and how they are culturally constructed.
4.  Suggest ways in which cultural beliefs and symbols are motivating and personally meaningful.
5.  Discuss how the social and cultural context influence and are influenced by processes of child and adolescent development.
6.  Articulate in oral presentations or in writing several ways in which social and cultural factors influence cognition, emotion, and motivation.
