BUS 35500 - Healthcare Administration

This course introduces the management student into the evolving and dynamic world of healthcare management. We will study major issues specifically relevant to managing in a healthcare environment. Leadership barriers, challenges and governance in healthcare, motivating healthcare workers, organizational behavior issues specific to healthcare workers, role responsibilities of healthcare managers, healthcare consumer behavior, clinical quality management, IT in healthcare, insurance considerations in healthcare management, basic healthcare financial implications, managing different levels of healthcare employees, legal environment of healthcare management and compliance will be analyzed, addressed and evaluated by the student.

Preparation for Course
P: BUS-30200 with grade of C- or better.
