THTR 32400 - The Musical Theatre BFA Project Each BFA Musical Theatre candidate must complete the degree requirement of performing a significant role in a musical production. Although during their years at Purdue Fort Wayne, BFA candidates may perform in several different musicals, one of their roles is required to be chosen as the BFA project. For this role, each candidate will work with one of the performance faculty (likely the director of the production) to complete extensive research and practical work on the role, including but not limited to: character study (psychological, emotional, physical), performance practice research, character biography generation, textual scoring for objectives and tactics, history of the role and study of those that have performed it over the course of its existence in the American Musical Theatre repertoire, etc.
Preparation for Course P: THTR 13800, THTR 23800, and THTR 23900 must be completed with a grade of C- or better.
