HSRV 40200 - Trauma And Grief

This course will examine the intervention aspects of loss, grief, and trauma. The experience of loss and grief will be examined in relation to various stages of human development and different cultural perspectives. The responses of families and communities to loss will be considered. In addition, the course will cover the framework for understanding the effects of traumatic experiences on individuals, families, and communities. It will provide students with various approached an interventions for working with people who have experienced trauma or grief.
