BIOL 58400 - Molecular Biology and Applications Laboratory The lab will consist of mini-projects that will emphasize the applications of several molecular biology techniques such as non-isotopic DNA detection by Southern Blot hybridization, nucleic acid purification (plasmid and genomic DNA, RNA), DNA restriction digestion and analysis by agarose gel electrophoresis, library construction, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), quantitative real-time PCR, protein purification and antibody-antigen interactions.
