Services and Programs
Academic Advising
Our academic advisors connect with first-year students and assist with academic planning, registration, withdrawal, declaring a major, and connecting with campus resources.
IDIS 11000: Freshman Success (1 credit hour)
We teach IDIS 11000: Freshman Success to first-year students to provide them the necessary academic skills they will need to reach their educational goals. Topics include academic success, motivation, goal setting, transition from high school to college, connecting with campus resources, and social development.
The First Year Advising Center provides programming and support to three additional groups of students.
Exploratory Program
We offer academic support services for students who are still deciding on a major.

Conditional Admission
Students admitted into the Conditional Admission Program earned between 2.0-2.29 high school GPA and will benefit from extra academic support throughout their first-year.

Academic Notice Support
We offer academic support services for first-year students who are on academic notice.
