This 36-credit graduate MS program will allow the teacher candidate, who has a current teaching license, to obtain an Indiana Exceptional Needs-Mild Intervention teaching license. This license qualifies a teacher to teach students as having Mild Intellectual Disability, Moderate Intellectual Disability, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Emotional Disabilities.

Notes:

It is recommended that students take EDUC P503 and EDUC K505 as the first courses in their program. The last course will be EDUC K599 or EDUC K500 Special Projects in Special Education (Part II).
At least 21 of the 36 total credits toward the MS Ed. must be completed at IPFW.

Teacher candidates wishing to add Mild Intervention to their license must complete all courses above and pass the Pearson Exam.
