The management and administration major provides you with an opportunity to study a broad scope of business and economics subjects, as well as concepts and theories of managing complex business operations. The courses stress goal setting, planning, controlling, and problem solving in the context of major business firms in domestic and international environments.
To earn the management and administration major, you must earn a grade of C or better in each of the following courses:

Area I—Linguistic and Numerical Foundations Credits: 9
Area III—The Individual, Culture, and Society Credits: 6
Three credits from the courses listed below and three additional credits in either PSY 12000 or SOC S161. Area IV—Humanistic Thought Credits: 6
DSB Requirements
- Additional credits in general education courses excluding business, economics, and OLS courses Credits: 8
Core Courses (46 Credits)
Business Principles Credits: 16
Economics Principles Credits: 16
Management Processes Credits: 15
Management Policy and Strategy Credits: 6
Program Requirements
- Credits in two additional 400-level management courses (Courses that start with D, K, W, P, or Z) The one exception is M426 Sales Management, which will also count as a management elective. Credits: 6
- One semester of a foreign language of your choice. Credits: 3
- ILCS I350 International Communications. Credits 3
