CM 25300 - Hydraulics And Drainage
Basic hydraulics, Bernoulli’s equation, flow in water and sewer lines, overland and ditch drainage determination.
Preparation for Course C: ET 19000.
Cr. 3. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Become familiar with different water resources terminology like hydrology, ground water, hydraulics of pipelines and open channel.
2. Become familiar with site layouts.
3. Understand and be able to use the energy and momentum equations.
4. Analyze flow in closed pipes, and design and selection of pipes including sizes.
5. Become familiar with open channel cross sections, hydrostatic pressure distribution and Manning’s law.
6. Determine water surface profiles for gradually varied flow in open channels.
