MUSC 38364 - Music Products Merchandising



This course examines the structure and operations of the Music Products Industry, with emphasis on merchandising practices, product design, manufacturing processes, and market strategy. Students explore a wide range of music-related products, analyzing how design, production, and distribution influence commercial success in both physical and digital retail environments. The course also introduces consulting services within the sector and develops students’ research, analytical, and professional presentation skills relevant to careers in music products retailing, manufacturing, and distribution.

Preparation for Course
P:  MUSC 18203 with grade of C- or better and admitted into a program of the School of Music.
