MUSC 20800 - Electronic Music II
This course serves as a continuation of Electronic Music I, emphasizing advanced sequencing techniques and the integration of synthesis and sampling within modern music production environments. Students will explore contemporary electronic production workflows, focusing on creative application and technical fluency.
Preparation for Course P: MUSC 20700 (or equivalent) with grade of C- or better and admitted into a program of the School of Music.
Cr. 3. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Analyze electronic production techniques employed in contemporary recordings.
2. Develop creative awareness through the exploration and application of demonstrated technologies.
3. Explain and illustrate the processes of music sequencing and creative programming.
4. Demonstrate and apply comprehensive operational knowledge of the music technology lab, including system setup and signal routing.
5. Evaluate and assess sound design, sequencing strategies, and aesthetic decisions in contemporary music productions.
