PSY 23500 - Child Psychology
General principles of children’s behavior and development from conception to adolescence, including sensory and motor development, and the basic psychological processes such as learning, motivation, and socialization.
Preparation for Course P: PSY 12000 (or equivalent).
Cr. 3. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Enumerate possible biological and environmental factors involved in childhood behavior, including physical, cognitive, and social factors.
2. Explain developmental research across physical, cognitive, and social domains.
3. Use developmental theories and research to evaluate and create solutions/interventions to educational, clinical, and societal problems involving children.
