HPER 13300 - Fitness And Jogging I
Beginning instruction in the basic principles of fitness as they apply to a jogging program. Emphasis on cardiorespiratory endurance and flexibility. Basic concepts underlying Dr. Kenneth Cooper’s aerobic program. For students without prior experience in jogging programs, aerobics levels I through III.
Cr. 1. Notes Letter grades are given in all HPER classes. Some classes are offered in eight-week sessions; check the Schedule of Classes for scheduling information. Activity classes cannot be repeated for credit. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Demonstrate understanding of basic fitness principles.
2. Apply aerobic conditioning techniques.
3. Develop and maintain a personal jogging routine.
