COM 30300 - Intercultural Communication
Study of the complex relationship between culture and communication in a variety of interpersonal, group, organizational, and computer-mediated settings. Application of theory and research to development of the knowledge, attitudes, and skills associated with intercultural communication competence.

Cr. 3. Student Learning Outcomes 1. Explain the concepts, theories, and practices in the scholarly field of intercultural communication.
2. Develop skills to research, observe, and analyze intercultural communication in everyday life, popular media, and other mediated discourse.
3. Develop insights into social, cultural, structural, and historical dimensions of relations among racial, ethnic, and gender groups.
4. Develop intercultural communication skills in managing cultural diversity in one’s community.
5. Engage in mindful, reflective, and accountable dialogue across and through differences.
