EDU 61100 - Contemporary Legal Challenges In P-12 Education This course examines the legal complexities and challenges faced by educational leaders in P-12 settings. Through the study of landmark court cases, statutory frameworks, and emerging legal trends, students will explore topics such as student rights, special education, teacher discipline, and governance. Emphasis is placed on understanding legal principles, applying them to real-world scenarios, and developing proactive strategies to address contemporary legal issues in education. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to navigate and resolve legal dilemmas, ensuring compliance and promoting equity in educational environments.
