ITC 43000 - Mobile Application Development



This course provides an introduction to developing mobile applications in the Android development environment.  Students will be introduced to the Android operating system, designing the user interface in the development environment, programming functionality, interacting with databases, how to use images and audio in the design, testing the application and how to publish and market mobile apps.

Preparation for Course
P:  CS 16000 with grade of C- or better.

Student Learning Outcomes
1.  Familiarized with Android mobile app development environment and tools.
2.  Build basic applications in Android Studio.
3.  Use SQLite and File Storage.
4.  Familiarized with Media Basics: Images, Audios and Videos.
5.  Design and develop mobile apps for mobile devices such as smartphone, tablet and iPad, etc.
6.  Publish an application to a store.
7.  Understand the various Android operating systems.
