INTD 24100 - Lighting And Color Design



Study of how natural and artificial lighting and color affect the human environment. The course emphasizes on lighting design for different commercial spaces.

P: INTD 11200 and 20100 (or equivalents).

Student Learning Outcomes
1. Be able to produce lighting and electrical plans and specifications for commercial and residential projects. 
2. Be able to identify quantity of light in a space and determine illumination levels. 
3. Be able to identify different types of lamps, luminaires and controls. 
4. Understand the lighting design process and how to apply it. 
5. Understand how lighting affects people and the built environment. 
6. Understand how lighting affects color.
