EDUC E355 - Issues In Infancy And Early Childhood Mental Health Infancy and early childhood mental health is defined as the healthy social and emotional development of a child from birth to age 8. Young children thrive when they are cared for by adults who are consistent, responsive and focus on teaching. This course will investigate multiple sources (e.g., neurological, contextual) and strategies that impact healthy social, emotional and behavioral development in young children.
