HIST B352 - Western Europe in the High/Late Middle Ages Expansion of European culture and institutions: chivalry, Crusades, rise of towns, universities, Gothic architecture, law, revival of central government. Changes in late medieval Europe: famine, plague, Hundred Years’ War, peasant revolt, crime, Inquisition, and heresy.
Preparation for Course P: HIST H206 or B351, and upper level medieval history seminar or consent of instructor.
