Practical application of German language skills. Credit may be counted toward the major with the approval of the department chair.

Notes
In general, grades of Incomplete are not given in 100- and 200-level language courses. Study Abroad Indiana University or Purdue University students with an appropriate command of German may apply for a year’s study, with full credit, in the IU program at the University of Freiburg; participation is not limited to German majors. The fourth or fifth semester of German may be taken during six weeks of full-time study abroad in the summer in Graz, Austria. Semester programs are available in Munich and Freiburg.
