GER G113 - First-Year German in One Semester


Required beginning course for students with at least two years of high school German who did not place into G203 or higher. Review of selected material from G111 before proceeding to G112 material.

Notes
Weekly attendance at lab required. Credit will not be given for both G112 and G113. In general, grades of Incomplete are not given in 100- and 200-level language courses. Study Abroad Indiana University or Purdue University students with an appropriate command of German may apply for a year’s study, with full credit, in the IU program at the University of Freiburg; participation is not limited to German majors. The fourth or fifth semester of German may be taken during six weeks of full-time study abroad in the summer in Graz, Austria. Semester programs are available in Munich and Freiburg.
